My first Christmas!

Our First Christmas as a family! We look rough cause we hardly had any sleep!

Well I am happy to say my baby boy is feeling much better today! Christmas Day he still was not feeling so well but today he has only had 1 watery stool and is drinking his milk. I had a hard time trying to get him to take his milk again, I think that pedialyte tasted a little to good to him!! He is still a little fussy and still not back to 100% happy little Brooks but we are working on it. He still has a real bad cough. He is laying here on the bed with just looking at me. Gosh this little boy has just stole my heart! He is the greatest gift I could have ever received. I just wanted to put a few pictures of his first Christmas. My parents came over and spent the day with us . Mom and I just layed around and watched movies while the guys hunted. It was so nice! Brooks slept most of the day. This child got so many presents and he does not even know what is going on!

Christmas Eve

Well, our first Christmas Eve was not exaclty what we had planned, but the important thing is our sweet baby is doing much better! Brooks started getting sick Tuesday while he was with my parents and my mom took him to the Dr. and they said he just had a cold. He had a real bad cough but was not running any fever. Tuesday night he ran a fever of 101 and then Wednesday he was much better and without fever all day. Well, Wednesday night his temp went up to 101.5 and stayed up all night getting up to 102. So today I called the Dr.'s office and the on call nurse said I should take him in to see someone, but what do you know well, it is Christmas Eve and all the clinics are closed so we had to take them to the er. They got us right in thank goodness! We got there and his temp was 101.9 and he had had about 10 stools in 3 hours. They started an iv on him immediately and started giving him fluids! Poor Baby his daddy could hardly stand it. Then they did not get enough blood so they had to stick him again! UGHH! Put his was such a trooper. We got there about 1:30 and finally got to leave at about 945 tonight. Brooks is doing much better and is doing good drinkin his pedilyte. Please keep him in your prayers b/c they said it is very easy for an infant to get dehydrated very fast. Please pray that he continues to take the Pedilyte. While we were there Michael got sick. So now I have 2 sick babies at home!! This virus is very contagious b/c my dad and grandad have it. We were suppose to have Christmas at our house tomorrow but considering our house in infected we did not want to expose anyone else to this awful virus. Especially our little nephew Jackson who is only 7 weeks old. So we are having a first Christmas with our little boy that we will never forget!! Thank goodness he won't remember it!! I just love this little boy so much. He is so much fun these days! He is the happiest baby ever in the morning. I am not a morning person but when I wake up to this precious boy with the biggest smile on his face I can't be anything but happy. He is so sweet and loves to talk. He has found his hands and loves putting them in his mouth. He is starting to play with his toys now. This is such a fun stage. He still gets fussy around bedtime but overall he is a good baby. Last night he slept all night long! I am praying this will last!! He woke up about 530 and I put him in the bed with us and he slept another hour. I never imagined how much I would love my child! He is the best gift I could have ever received. How can anyone mistreat a child!

We finally got to go and see this sweet baby! He is so precious and I could not wait to hold him. We got a lot of cute pictures of Jackson and Brooks. They were so good laying there next to each other. We are so blessed to have two beautiful and healthy Avalon boys! Thank you God for these precious gifts.

Brooks is really starting to smile and interact with us more. He is such a good baby most of the time. I love this little boy so much!! Just wanted to share of few picutres of him.

Leeanne, Vance, and Jackson are all doing great! They got to go home on Friday. I do not have any pictures b/c i forgot my camera!! I was in such a hurry to make sure I got to the hospital in time to see my first nephew being born that I did not even get my camera. I put it on the charger the night before but forgot it! You can go to her blog to see picutres. He is so precious and cute. Now we have 2 beautiful little Avalon boys! I can't wait it is going to be so much fun! We are planning on going to see them on Wednesday and I will be sure to take my camera!

Prayer Request!

I have 2 people that I would like for everyone to pray for tomorrow.
My sister in law (Leeanne) and brother in law (Vance) will be having their sweet baby boy Jackson tomorrow around noon. Please keep the three of them in your prayers. I talked to Leeanne tonight and she is very nervous as all new moms are. Pray for baby Jackson in that he is a healthy little boy. We can't wait to meet him, we already love him so much!

Please also keep my sweet friend Rachel in your prayers tomorrow. She is having to have back surgery tomorrow and this is the first surgery ever for her and she is also very nervous.

I will be posting picutres of my first nephew to be born hopefully tomorrow night when we get back home!!! I can't wait!!
