Sunday the 9 some of the ladies at my church gave me a baby shower. I received so many nice gifts. Brooks will never go without any clothes! Thank you ladies!

Baby Room

This is his changing table. I have a brown minky dot cover for the changing pad. There will also be a glider between the bed and changing table. You can see Pookie in the background. That is Vance and Leeanne's dog. They loved hanging out in the baby room.

The door you see will be covered with a curtain that my aunt made. I just have to hang it! The house is really weird so there is a door in his room but we are closing it off and hanging the curtain.

Brooks' Bed and the quilt my grandmother made, it is absolutely beautiful and so special Thank you Grandmother. Also my aunt made the bedding I just love it she is so talented. Thank you Sissy!

Baby Update!

Ok so it has been another 4 weeks since I updated my blog! I am just making a short post right now and hopefully later I can post some pictures. I went to the doctor yesterday and I had made progress! I was 2cm dilated and he said that I had really thinned out. He is still planning on inducing me on the 25th unless Brooks decides he wants to come sooner. It was so funny when we were leaving b/c Michael looked at me and said I am going to be a nervous wreck until Tuesday b/c last week I was not dilated and now I am and we have to drive a little over an hour to get to the hospital. Anyway, so I have been feeling fine other than my feet swelling. The doctor did take me off of work last week when I went. I have been bored out of my mind and wishing I was at work to make the time go by faster! Oh well just 7 more days and I will finally get to see this little fella!

We finally got moved into the house. Yea!!! Michael's brother Vance and his wife Leeanne came and helped us move. Thank you both so much. We have almost everything situated just a few small things left to do. We got the baby's room almost finished. My aunt made my bedding and I just love it, now I just have to hang the curtains she made and it will be finished. Thank you Sissy for making Brooks' room look so good.

Ok so I will try and post pictures later of his room and maybe a picutre of my belly! ugh I have gotten so big and swollen lately. Ok so that is it for now.

Baby Brooks at 34 weeks

Ok so I have not posted about the baby in forever I know. Well this summer has been so crazy and we have not been at home. This weekend Michael went with his brother and some friends to St. Louis to some ballgames, so I came to stay with my parents. I just have to say I am sitting here on my parents couch with my dog beside me and he is snoring so loud! I don't know what he is going to think about the baby b/c he is the baby now!! ok, so about Brooks...

Well the past couple of weeks my blood pressure has been high. My doctor was concerned I could be getting preeclampsia, so he ran all kinds of test. Thank the Lord they all came back fine, however my pressure still remained high. I was told that I might have to go on bedrest! ugh, just the two days I was on it I thought I would go crazy! I went on to work and he told me to check it there and guess what is was normal, in fact really good 113/69. I was so relieved because I am ready to see this little fella but not quite yet. I have been feeling really good, no complaints at all! I just hope and pray to make it at least 3 to 4 more weeks at work. He is taking me in on the 25th to induce unless he decides to come sooner which I hope not! Michael was really worried about going so far off with my pressure being up, but things have been good and he will be home tomorrow! So this is a picture of my belly at 34 weeks. I have really grown and my feet kill me at work! I go back to the doctor Monday for another sonogram and pressure check, I just hope it is normal there b/c I need to work so I can be home with Brooks longer!! Hopefully I wont be as long updating next time!

The weekend of the 4th we went to the coast to see my grandmother and spend time with my parents. Michael, my dad, David, went on a fishing trip Sat and had a great time. They caught a shark while they were fishing but I don't have a picutre of it! While the guys were fishing me, my mom, and my aunt Sandra went to the beach to enjoy some sun, but it was really hot and the water felt like bath tub water!! Not so good for a pregnant girl!!

Sunday we cooked the fish that they caught on their trip and then me and Michael headed to the Palace Hotel to spend the night for our 1 year anniversary!! Wow, I can't believe we have been married a year, and now are about to have a baby! Michael, it has been the best year of my life and I love you so much. Thank you for being such a wonderful husband and always making me feel special. I can only imagine how great of a father you will be. I can't wait to spend many more years with you and can't wait for our baby boy to get here! I love you!!

Atlanta

Ok so i have been forever updating my blog site, but this summer has been really crazy. The last weekend of June we went to Atlanta to see the Braves play. We went with my brother in law Vance and sister in law Leeanne and our friends Carp and Regan. We had a really good time but it was very hot. We went to the aquarium while we were there and it was really neat.

Ok so I have been a horrible blogger lately. I am now 29 weeks but I am just now posting my 27 week pictures! I have not taken any 29 week pictures yet but will tomorrow!

We went to Oxford May 29th for Ryan and Lana's wedding. Ryan and Michael played baseball together at Holmes and West Alabama. We had a really great time visiting with friends, so here are a few pictures from that weekend. Maybe I wont take so long next time!!
